Computer Imaging

Computer Imaging has been around for more than a decade and has been a staple in our practice for several years. We feel computer imaging is one of the most important components of our in-office consultation as it allows you the opportunity to be involved in your surgical decision and expected outcome. Simply put, computer imaging is about communication between you and Dr. Gouverne.

During your consultation, one of our staff will take a digital picture of the area or areas you want to be treated and input the photo into our imaging system. Once the image is in the computer, you and Dr. Gouverne will look at the photo head-on as others will see you as well as a profile view. We'll then alter the image electronically so you can visualize your post-operative results, whether it's a brow lift, a nose being reduced, wrinkles being softened, or thighs and buttocks being recontoured.

We feel the benefits of computer imaging are many. First, our patients routinely indicate that this exercise dramatically reduces their anxiety and helps them put unrealistic expectations aside. At the same time, Dr. Gouverne is better able to assess your expectations and pre-determine whether you are psychologically a good candidate for surgery, in addition to communicating what he can do well and what is beyond his ability.

Please keep in mind, computer imaging does not make someone a better surgeon. Nor does it guarantee surgical success. However, we strongly believe the addition of computer imaging as a component of your in-office consultation will enhance your cosmetic surgery experience with us.
